Slacker Practice - 12 PM, Saturday January 19th

Have I ever been productive this morning. I think it has something to do with yesterday's work-from-home day. Now I'm scratching my head over what to start on next, since I basically rushed through almost everything I had on my Today's Tasks list in the first 2 hours of being at work. I need slacker practice.

I'm drinking Japanese green tea out of a fantastic mug that reads: "Ole Time Barbecue: A great place to get porked!" Oh, the incongruity!

I have decided to do an art project this weekend - a project that includes colorful things like paints and/or fabrics, that can eventually be displayed upon the monstrous eggshell expanse of my livingroom wall, since I don't have a massive flatscreen to occupy that space. In fact, once we make the shift over to digital TV, my little 13" set which serves two purposes (to bring me the morning news, and to keep my cat company while I'm at work) will become obsolete... But I digress. Anyways - it would be fun to find some sort of vintage fabrics and make a tryptic, or to actually paint. I think I'll spend some of today's free time pondering what sort of painting I'd do; probably an abstract.

AND IT'S SUPPOSED TO SNOW TOMORROW! At least I'll be at home to enjoy it!

Two important lessons I've learned today:

1) Never under any circumstances microwave a protein shake.
2) Check to see if you added extra zeroes (pl.) to the number of copies of whatever you just sent to the printer, or heads will roll. And one of them will be yours, unless you FLEE, FLEEE!

Such sadness... the snow was so weak! also, pray tell- what does happen if you microwave a protein shake?

Yes, the mediocre snow was upsetting, but we made chicken soup (for real, like making stock from a baked chicken and veggies, etc.) anyways. :)

Microwaving a protein shake causes it to curdle. It's DISGUSTING.
