So, I had two bedmates last night. Heh. I started out with zero (alas!), but at around 2 AM, I woke up, sat up, and discovered Jesper and Kiska curled up together like a little orange-and-white yin yang cushion at the foot of my bed! Of course I exclaimed and sent them ricocheting into orbit. Later on, I had to confiscate a little furry mouse that they were playing hockey with in the kitchen way too loudly.
Samba worked out for me yesterday in practice. I got to the studio a little bit after 6:30 PM and did drills in all five basics for about an hour. Switched over to Standard for a smidge (just to work on my balance in waltz and tango), then back to Latin (cha and rumba). RH arrived to work on her waltz figures, and since I was having trouble with hip action in samba reverse basic, we took a closer look at it and decided I was adding two extra crunch actions where there didn't need to be any. The result was much prettier, and much easier. We soon found ourselves chatting and spent the last 30 minutes of studio time not dancing. Yay!
Opera (Orpheus & Euridice), 8:00 PM, Friday night! But no plans tonight, for which I am extremely grateful. I might even decide to go in to the studio again for more samba. Another awesome night of sleep (I think it was the whole after-work nap business that was ruining my sleep patterns) after thwarting the 5 o'clock sleepies with a cup of coffee. A good workout too, and now I'm ready to get this one big project done so I can get down to some serious playing in Visual Studio!
I'm getting excited about Natty & Pepper's wedding plansssss...
