It's Getting Better All the Time

Theme Song: The Supermen Lovers - Starlight

Ahh! My face still looks mildly chipmunky, but my internal organs are no longer infringing upon one another in inconvenient places (like my THROAT). But the pain is pretty much gone, except for pressure in my right ear (my right tonsil was by far the worst), and a split in my throat from being so swollen.

I had a pretty interesting dream last night:

I was sent to Japan by the government to find a rare plant and destroy it. Oddly, Japan resembled the African savannah, and I stalked through the grasses, looking for I knew not what. I came upon a tall hedge covered in fuzzy pink strands, and I heard children laughing beyond it, so I parted the branches and stepped through.

There was a beautiful tree covered in flowers ranging from orange to pink, and huge puffs of pink fuzz. I knew without a doubt that it was the elusive Pink Cotton Tree (c'mon subconsious mind, can't you think of something more creative?). The children of a nearby town had gathered a huge ball of the fuzz, about 5 feet in diameter, and it was so light and airy that it almost floated. I abandoned my cares and romped around with the kids, playing with the fuzzball, and realized that I couldn't destroy the tree. I decided to go AWOL.

Goverment agents knew that I'd deserted, and began their pursuit immediately. I ran into the village and hid in somebody's basement. Things in the basement began to look familiar to me - a bed, a dresser, a neat rug, etc., and I realized that it was Kumiko's basement. I ran upstairs into the kitchen, and there she was, making miso. I was so astonished and glad to see her that I draped myself all over her, weeping. Bun-chan (her husband) emerged from the bathroom, ready for work, and shouted my name in his hilarious way.

I think I need to find her again.

I am in exceptionally high spirits! I've engaged in some high-quality napping, piano-practicing, reading, etc. recently - and S installed a NES emulator onto my laptop... Yay for wasting time! Tonight is samba with Inga. Huzzah!

Bisous. :*
