Turn and Face the Strange

I don't have a whole lot to say this afternoon; this week has consisted of a lot of important work, Bikram, emotion, and not nearly enough sushi.

The past few months have seen a significant increase in responsibilities and involvement at work. I feel like I'm fulfilling something, reinstating construction upon a part of me that's been dormant for years. I am happy to do the work, happy to be busy, happy to be working with so many new and interesting people - and I was not expecting it when my supervisor, one of the most amazing women I've ever known, came into my office to tell me that she plans to request a raise for me. I was also elected co-chair of one of our committees today.

Steven works for Funcom, a Norwegian gaming software company. I just asked him what he was doing, and his response was completely incomprehensible to most of humanity:

"Lots of testing. Checking out the drop rates of stackable items from humanoid mobs and checking patch sizes."

The past month has also seen a lot of... Hrm. Introspection. Exospection. Transverse co-contangential distrospection. Don't try it alone. ;)

Bahahaha!

That made sense to me. I'm sorry Conan's having trouble keeping subscribers.

It's comprehensible to me too, but then again I basically used to write video games for the US Army (high end tank simulators, actually) and spent a while in graduate school for computer graphics.

Have any plans for tomorrow? :-) (Happy early birthday, btw...)

Actually Conan's doing much better now than it was in the past!

If Conan had space ships, I might be inclined to play it. Please forward this to your superiors.
