WHAT a busy day. I've been going nonstop since 5:35 AM, even after an insomniac attack. Last night at around 2:15, I was so bored and wide-eyed that I did the unthinkable, the incomprehensible. Jessy was deeply in REM sleep, on his back with his rear paws against my hip and his head hanging off the edge of my bed. I looked at him closely to make sure he was breathing and tried to go back to sleep... No luck. So I... I woke him up.
And pretty much ensured that I'd be getting zero sleep for the rest of the night. In the wee hours of the morning I shut him in the kitchen and closed my bedroom door, but somehow he managed to open BOTH, and then he walked and stumbled back and forth all over me for like an hour, conveniently hitting all of the tickly and/or painful locations.
No dance this week due to Spring Break - but there is some sort of chachacha clinic on Saturday not too far away. It's not cheap, but I didn't have a private lesson last week, so the money that I'd relegated to that could go towards this. And it would be something fun to do on at Saturday afternoon, although I do know chachacha. AND it would give D some extra time to practice with Minor before Triangle Open. Thinking about TO gives me butterflies. I really need to practice with Partner #3 sometime this week. Partner #2 is out-of-state till Friday, and Partner #1 isn't coming back from vacation till Sunday. I checked the schedule of events, and I have:
- Am. Waltz at 9:12 AM
- Am. Foxtrot at 9:16 (back-to-back)
- Am. Swing at 12:11 PM (and I have no idea how this is going to work, since we're not doing Am. Rumba, which is back-to-back with it - I guess we'll just scurry away?)
- Int'l Waltz at 2:10 PM
- Int'l Tango at 2:16 (but with a different partner than Waltz! Ahh! The scrambling!)
- Int'l Rumba at 7:16 PM (holy crap what a gap)
- Int'l Chachacha at 8:09 PM
It's going to be a loooong day. At least I have plenty of time for costume changes.
I don't have much inspiration to write today. I want to do something exciting!
