I have so many stories that I haven't been able to decide what to write, and I'm so intimidated by the thought of beginning at the beginning that I've decided to start anew. As for the stories, you'll have to be content with the bulleted list provided on Monday. :D
So, on Monday night, I probably slept for a grand total of one hour, but it was worth it. I think somebody nearby must have been smoking something high-quality, because, as I told one friend yesterday, the universe felt strange all evening. I kept all of the windows open and a strong, warm night breeze meandered through the apartment... And somehow the rules that govern reality were just slightly more pliant than usual. Being an ethical person, I didn't take advantage of their plasticity, but was content simply with lying in bed, enjoying the latent feeling of possibility. I "woke up" (or, got out of bed, rather) ecstatic, and ready to have my ass kicked by a sprinting interval training. I was so beat by the end of it that the owner of the gym, who had observed my efforts, told me that she'd come in the following morning just to make sure that I didn't do that again for at least 48 hours.
Natty and Pepper wasted no time in getting the wedding preparations into full swing. Natty is already looking for the perfect dress, and they know where they'd like to be married. I went through quite a smug, smarmy period of believing that I could become a Justice of the Peace to marry them (and a completely different pair of friends too, but that's another story!), but came crashing down to earth when Batman discovered that JPs are obsolete in this state... Buuuut, Natty & Pepper will be getting married in a different state, with different rules. I haven't done any research yet on this possibility...
Life is good. Isn't it always? Even when it isn't? Because it should be! I like this. I'm dancing tonight.
