Synchronicity

My mood has shifted dramatically since this morning, after reading a memoir of how my aunt, from Kyoto, met my uncle while backpacking in Nepal. She writes strongly and simply about the importance of intuition and synchronicity when one chooses one's path. I think I just may have been ignoring some very synchronous events in my life.

Even though I have a minor in Japanese, I don't think I've ever understood the remarkable depth of her soul - but it is evident to me in her writing. The language barrier was just too broad for true understanding to cross, until now. God I miss her.

"During last two days, we stayed at guesthouse by some beautiful mountains. It looked like gods dwelled there. I prayed to the solemn mountains unintentionally."
