Wednesday? Nope - it's Mediocrityday.

Bluh.

Do you ever have a day when you wake up with a headache? When pointless things are disappointing? When you feel like a week-old puddle along the side of a midsummer Alabama highway?

Have you ever opened your cupboard and noticed that the sum of your cooking vessels amounts to one 4-cup lidless pot from your grandma and a tiny Polish enameled thingy useful only for cooking 1-3 eggs? Did you decide you'd rather go hungry than eat another egg out of your Polish saucepan?

And the sound of your voice on your work voicemail message - did it sound as young, inexperienced and childish as mine did this morning? Did your cat chase a spider up the wall and knock down the diploma you got for your Master's degree? Did he glance at your name spelled out there in all its glory, yawn, and begin to lick his hindquarters?

Did you idly suspect that God, if He/She/It were to regard your existence spelled out in all its glory, would yawn just as enthusiastically?

Where am I, where do I want to be, and how do I get there?
