It's my day again!

Ahh. While it was nice having Noel around to chat with, feed, and entertain The Beast, it's nice to be alone again. I don't have to worry about offending anybody if I step on the creaky spots in my floors, flush the toilet (mine sounds like the outflow of Hoover Dam in flood mode), or putter around at oh-dark-hundred in the morning. I know for sure that my lifestyle is kind of quirky (but stylish and spartan and unusual, I like to think), and it's always particularly obvious to me when people visit, and when I visit other peoples' homes. I think plants would help, but I'm pretty sure Jesper would devour them unless they're suspended from the ceiling, so... If anybody has any nontoxic and attractive [guys?] vegetation that they need homes for, I'm in the market!

It's my day again. Other weekdays are nobody's days, weekend days are everybody's days, but Thursdays are mine.

Natty and I have been planning my fun weekend up north. We're slathering ourselves in glow-in-the-dark paint for some sort of graffiti rave on Friday, making crepes on Saturday morning, attending a strawberry festival on Saturday afternoon, and HOPEFULLY getting sushi and cocktails on Saturday night. Sunday will be serious, intense R & R. I've almost forgotten what it's like to really sleep in - you know, when you wake up at noon after a refreshing night's sleep, lie there and decide to sleep for 2 more hours because you have nothing better to do, slowly wake up again, and think about perhaps procuring the single meal you're going to eat, since you slept most of the day... I don't think I've done that since high school. I don't think I'll ever really do it again, but it's still a nice relaxing thought.

I'm going to renew my lease. This both frightens and comforts me. Comforts, since I'm slowly feeling like I have A Place. Frightens, because I don't know if I want to have A Place, and also because I feel like something needs to be changed or altered. What could it be?

I think I'm going to retake the GREs. And go for my Ph.D.
