She's A Keeper

Yesterday, sneaky!Jesper opened the cabinets under my kitchen sink to let slinky!Kiska go inside to hide. She likes it so much under there that I put her food, water and litter with her and shut the door. When I stopped in this morning and checked on her, she hissed when I held my hand out to her (as usual). I fed her fingerfuls of tuna and scratched her ears and face regardless, and soon she was stretching her neck to direct me to the itchy places. Suddenly, she said "wowowowow..." and started to growl. She stood up, arched her little back and leaned against my hand, still growling, and then she hid her little face in the crook of my arm, and burst into purr. Yes, she burst into purr in exactly the same way that one bursts into song. I think she had forgotten how, and the wowing and growling were failed attempts at it.

I think she's a keeper. I wasn't so sure until now. :D
