Milk Chocolate Sleep

Theme Song: Safri Duo - Baya Baya

It's when you are completely immersed in a warm, rich slumber. All concerns fade, dreams are only half-coherent, and you revel in the fact that you are completely beyond the control of your cognitive mind. I had thrown all the windows wide, the air was cool and rain-tasting, and the kitties were somnolent and sprawled across the silky white damask expanse of my duvet - it was the perfect environment for some quality snoozing.

Last night, I had milk chocolate sleep. Dark chocolate sleep is a little bit different - that is more likely to happen after reading a poignant book with a glass of wine. It's sharper, deeper, colorful. Milk chocolate sleep is simpler, less focused, smoother.

Mmmm...

Rumba with Inga last night was like chocolate, too. I'm so glad I went, despite a lack of team dancers present. The only things we worked on were forward and backward walks, cucarachas and spot turns - all of which were picked apart, oozingly slow and endlessly repeated. It was a very good, very helpful practice for me, and I desperately needed an enjoyable dance experience after last week. I'm thinking more and more about shifting my focus away from the team a bit and more toward individualized self-improvement. I'd like to take more private lessons, but I can't be truly serious about it until I find an amenable partner.

I think the universe is trying to tell me to eat more chocolate, and I shan't complain, no! I should go find some.
