Sewing success! I was dubious at first, but things magically worked with minimal crooked seams, unraveling, miscellaneous fiascos, etc. Sewing machine cover made out of a beautifully heavy brocade I found at the fabric store last week for 40% off.
I measured the sewing machine and allowed myself half-inch seams - you know, in case something went awry (with the rotary cutter, sewing machine, brain, etc.). Then, I traced my pattern on a newspaper I stole from work on Friday, cut out my pieces (went trapezoidal rather than rectangular, my initial approach), sewed and reinforced seams, and best of all - I got to use the blind hem foot! CHORTLE! Ahem.

That is really beautiful! You are so talented! I want to hear you play piano sometime! I used to play a lot but after 9 years, I had to quit because my grades were starting to slip so something had to give. Unfortunately, I haven't played much since college. (I majored in music education, only to switch to elementary ed and obtain a minor in music.)
Also- I remember in a post a while back that you did hot yoga at one point. I tried that last week! I loved it, but man, I'm sooo not flexible!!
Hope you have a great day!!
Holy cow girl, you're at the computer early!
Thank you! Talented - not yet... Lucky and persistent? Maybe. :)
I loved Bikram yoga too. I did it maybe 4 times a week back when I lived downtown, but it was expensive, and now that particular studio is 20-25 minutes away from us.
Sometimes piano stresses me out too(like right now, I've got a master class this weekend and I haven't practiced for a week), but it keeps me on my toes. Do you have a keyboard?
