A Lovely Sunday

Theme Song:  Klute - Stuck On You

Had a horrible nightmare last night but I can't remember it, which is no fun because my nightmares tend to be totally awesome.  I do remember sitting bolt upright in bed, out of breath and terrified, at exactly 2:23 AM.

I also dreamed that I wanted to be remade, in China Miéville's definition of the term - a usually bureaucratic punitive surgical/magical process involving grafting machine or animal parts onto a criminal's body.  I hadn't done anything wrong, so the thaumaturgists (specialists in remaking) utterly refused to turn me into whatever I wanted to be turned into (I can't recall!) - but, as consolation, they pierced my eyebrow for free.  I woke up totally wanting to get another piercing.  I'm running out of places though, and my work environment is probably the most traditionalist and least piercing-friendly place I've ever heard of.  I'm slightly worried about the tattoo news finding the wrong ears.

Speaking of dreams, I've written about some interesting ones on this here blog.  Let's revisit a choice few:
I have learned the hard way that 4.5 volts of direct current will not deter a determined cat (what a great succession of words!) from completely severing the cord of a cell phone charger.
